New photos!

New photos added to the summer album, as well as to the new fall album (it's two pages!).

Alaska!

We went on vacation to Alaska in May, and had a wonderful time! We flew from Dallas to Anchorage, where we stayed two days, and then took the Alaska Railroad to Seward, where we boarded the Celebrity Millennium cruise ship for a week-long cruise. We made stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, and lots of other places -- the views were spectacular! Here are a few photos, and more can be found in the Spring 2010 album.

A long absence

Over three months without a post! How embarrassing. Lots has happened since Dec 2 -- we went to Mississippi for Christmas where Baxter got to hang out with his cousins:

Then in February it snowed again -- 12 inches, a record for Dallas!

Then earlier this month Baxter was the ring bearer at my friend Susan's wedding:

where another guest was nice enough to offer to take our family with my camera:

Happy Halloween from Vampire Baxter

Happy 4th birthday to Baxter!

Baxter turned four years old last week! It's hard to believe. We celebrated with his cousins who have birthdays the same week in Arkansas a few weeks ago:

Baxter got a ball that he demands we play soccer with on a daily basis (hooray for our new pool-less backyard) as well as a super-cool letter/number set hand-made by his Grandddaddy:

Back home we celebrated by going to Benihana, where Baxter had a lot of fun watching the chefs cook right in front of him and do all sorts of silly tricks with the food:

The weather has finally cleared up in Dallas so we're taking advantage of blue skies and mild temperatures by spending lots of time outside. This morning Baxter and I went to the Arboretum (we have a yearly membership and are only 10 minutes away now!) while Ben slept in to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary:

Pumpkin Patch '09

As is our yearly tradition, we visited the Dallas Arboretum's pumpkin patch this morning:

New house!

Now we just have to unpack the million boxes and we'll be all done.

We're moving!

Finally! We're closing on our current house in five days, and moving to our new house about ten days later. We're very excited, but there is just so much to do between now and then. You can see photos of the new house here.

Now that summer is almost over, I've started a summer photo album, which you can see here.

I can't believe it's almost August! We were so naive in thinking we'd most likely be in a new house by now, but here we are almost four months after we put it on the market. We received our fourth offer on it yesterday, so we'll see if this one is the charm. A few photos, first some taken in New Braunfels where we spent a long weekend with our good friends Kelly and Cynthia and Cynthia's family (jumping from bed to bed at the lodge where we stayed was a big hit with Baxter):
